StrivectinSDStrivectin SD, originally developed for and still a killer stretch mark treatment, has been revealed as a  tremendous aid to youthful skin.  Women who have used the cream as a treatment for stretch marks are reporting an unintended, but very welcome, side effect of reduced wrinkles and improved complexion.

One reviewer I ran across, C. Burke-Datko, reports that:

“I like it cause it makes my skin so soft. I didn’t expect to totally diminish my wrinkles completely, but it is definitely giving my skin the moisture it needs to look healthy… It seems to have the ingredients my skin likes so I am happy with it… It is expensive but it lasts for a while, you don’t need to put too much on.”

But not too expensive. Order it here for 41% off. But keep it to yourself, its a secret!

From Allure.com:

When you’re pregnant, there are lots of weird things that happen to your body. But I was seriously not prepared to find out this news: That pregnant ladies are basically walking, talking skin-care-makers for their kids. Researchers at Leiden University in The Netherlands have been studying an all-natural moisturizer mothers produce in the womb—a “buttery ointment” with the not-so-catchy name Vernix caseosa. (I get the gross factor, but bear with me.) Apparently this stuff not only keeps your baby from being born a human prune (consider that it spends nine months essentially underwater), it also helps baby’s skin stay hydrated and fight off infection after it’s out in the world. The scientists just released a study with promising results on a synthetic version they created to heal some adult skin diseases. And, their hopes are that it just might one day be the mother of all moisturizers for healthy skin. Stay tuned.

This is a continuing problem for me. I need moisture for my dry skin but it makes my makeup run especially under my eyes. How do you handle it? I can't use powder since it will make my eyes look old and wrinkly…what do you do?

In the morning (or whenever you are putting your makeup on)
do not put eye gel or eyecream on your eyelids…. otherwise it can cause your eye makup to slide off.

You can put your eye treatment products on your eyelids before you go to bed though.

A good waterproof mascara that is only 10 is from marykay: http://www.marykay.com/mpeters2014/color/eyes/mksignaturewaterproofmascara/default.aspx

the Oil Free EyeMakeUp Remover is awesome too. http://www.marykay.com/mpeters2014/skincare/lipeyecare/10089100/10089100/default.aspx

I've never needed a body lotion before, my body wash was enough to keep the dry skin away, but the last couple of weeks my legs and arms have been quite flakey . Any ideas on what I can use to soften/remove the dryness? I'm on a student budget so nothing too expensive please

Moisture, moisturize, moisturize! this is the way to beat dry skin. use an all natural skin care moisturizer, this can be safe and effective to protect the skin from moisture robbers like dry air, humidity and other factors that can cause skin damage.

there are many things simple things to do to have clear and healthy skin, one is to drink plenty of water, this can keep the skin hydrated, likewise, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

have healthy habits and avoid bad habits such as smoking and too much alcohol drinking, this can make the skin dry. enough rest. sleep and good program of exercise can help make the skin look at its best.

Laura was having a tough time concentrating. Sure, the letters went out perfectly and she transferred calls and filed reports accurately. But there at the back of her mind was a nagging thought which kept creeping back into her consciousness and threatened to derail her. The  thought was: Sam! Sam! Sam! Not a shout at all, just a long drawn out sigh, Saaaaaam!

She had seen him again today as he walked in the front door on his way to the lab. She had forced out a strangled “morning” and a quick smile. He returned the greeting with a “morning” of his own and what may or may not have been, but she hoped, a wink. Either way she was pretty sure her heart skipped at least a couple beats. Then just as suddenly, he was gone.

She forced herself to calmly analyze her attraction. He was attractive but not drop dead gorgeous. He had an above average body yet not incredible. She finally decide it was the eyes. She was a sucker for eyes like those. They were so intense, so deep.

“Laura, do you have change for a five”? She was so startled by the voice behind her that she nearly choked on the bottled water she was chugging when he spoke. “Sorry, didn’t mean to spook you. I just need some change for the vending machine”. She turned and was immediately sucked into those eyes she was just daydreaming about.

When she had recovered her composure she said “Sure Sam, just lost in my own world. Let me check my purse”. She grabbed her purse from below her desk and found five ones which she exchanged for the five he offered. He thanked her, turned to go, then stopped. He already had her attention but now she was laser focused on him. She hoped he was now going to ask her out or at least do something to move things along. But he just stood there looking at her. She crossed her arms in front of her and absent mindedly massaged her elbow. Still he didn’t speak. Finally, after what seemed like an hour but probably was only a few seconds, he spoke.
“Laura, I think you could use some Hope.” She couldn’t help it, but she snorted. It was one of those completely automatic responses we have, totally out of our control. It was SO not what expected to hear.
“What?” he asked. “What’s so funny?”.
“Sam, I don’t know if you noticed, but Obama already won the election a few weeks back”, she replied.
“No, No” he said. “I know that, I was talking about your elbows”.
“My elbows, why would you say my elbows need hope”?she answered.
“I’m talking about Hope in a Jar by Philosophy, it’s a moisturizer”,he said. “I just noticed your elbows look very dry and maybe you could use some help”. “Or Hope”, he added, amused at his cleverness.
“Thanks, but I’ve got moisturizers. What’s so special about this Hope stuff?”
“This stuff is different”,he said.” we used it as a competitor sample to test a product awhile back. It blew our product away, it was so good. I’ve still got some left if you want to try it.”
Laura thought for a moment. He was cute but cocky. Where did he get off commenting on her elbows? But, she thought, I have had a hard time with my elbows. Maybe I should give it a chance.
“I guess I could give it a try”, she told him. “But, I’m not expecting much”, she added.
He nodded, left, and returned shortly with a small jar. “Don’t need to use much”,he said. “It’s pretty potent”.
A few weeks later, Laura’s elbows vere vastly improved. Sam had hounded her nearly every day about her elbows. Finally he asked her out.
She thought about it for a few moments. He was so darn cute, but he was a bit of a nag. He was right about the Hope, but he was so cocky. In the end she decided.
“Sure Sam, I’ll give you chance. But I’m not expecting much”. She lied.

I was recently prescribed to a Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser and Zania gel to treat my blackheads and slight acne. Both (the cleanser, especially) have been drying out my face IMMENSELY! My dermatologist told me that if my skin starts to dry out, take a break from the wash (peroxide cleanser) for about four days, but continue the use. I have since taken the break, continued the usage, and limited the wash to once a day, whereas whenever else I wash, I just use regular soap. My skin is still very dry to the point of peeling, but also very sensitive. I can't find a really great moisturizer that doesn't hurt, sting, or cause redness when I use it on my very dry skin. I need a moisturizer VERY badly. I have used Aveeno, Cetaphil, and St. Ives moisturizers, and all result in me rushing to the bathroom sink to relieve my face of incredible discomfort.

Does anybody know of a moisturizer that might fit my situation?

Mario Badescu is fantastic, espcially for teen skin, he has a special acne website.
What you can also do which will really really help with your dry skin is take Evening Primrose Oil 3 tablets a day and zinc (1 x 50mg). (I'm a beauty therapist and this is what I recommend to most of my clients with your type of skin). Don't forget to also drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day to keep in hydrated. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you put ON your skin, because it's what goes inside that will show on the outside.
The Evening Primrose oil and zinc work in helping the skin to keep it supple and help with any inflamation and dryness (It's like putting oil for your car engine)! x
