GOOD FOR YOU BECAUSE… Sunflower Oil: rich in Vitamins A & E, good for dry, sensitive skin Centella Asiatica (Gotu Cola): tones and brightens skin Grapeseed Oil: regenerative and moisturizing Usage: Daily Usage. PRODUCT REVIEW: From PierceMattie.com Beauty Pro Division. Kiss My Face Tighten Up Moisturizer: Ive only recently begun using Kiss My Face products and have been loving the Tinted Moisturizer and 3 Way Color. Among the many other Kiss My Face products I have received lately, the Tighten Up Moisturizer tops my list for one of the best organic body moisturizers out there. The Tighten Up Moisturizers fragrance is a blend of grapefruit, lime and chamomile. Ive used products scented like grapefruit and chamomile, but never lime and was unsure if I would like a lime-scented product. I was pleasantly surprised, as the scent had me begging Mother Nature for springtime weather. Its a nice refreshing scent making you wish you could throw on a fabulous Old Navy dress showing off your well-hydrated healthy skin. Not only do the certified organic herbs and essential oils make your skin so super soft, the Tighten Up Moisturizer also uses natural proteins, wheat extracts and Ayurvedic Botanical “Centella Asiatica” to naturally firm your skin. I also loved that if I skipped a day of using moisturizer for one reason or another, that my skin didnt just revert back to being dry and itchy. The lotion seemed to keep my skin hydrated for longer than 24 hours, which tells me that the organic ingredients are really working their magic to keep my skin both looking and feeling healthy. At only $10 for an 11oz. bottle, this lotion is worth every penny.

As many of you may have, a few weeks ago I read a news article regarding a possible link between moisturizer use and skin cancer, specifically squamous cell carcinomas. This is certainly a frightening thought especially considering our regular use of moisturizers. It seems that researchers were trying to determine if caffeine might be helpful in treating skin cancers. They wanted to test which type of moisturizer might work best with the caffeine. So they exposed some little white mice to radiation and then treated them with several common moisturizers (Dermabase, Dermovan, Eucerin, and Vanicream). Unexpectedly, there was an increase in the number of tumors.
Many products have soy oil and other potentially toxic elements in them. What are some simple options?

Just a run-through of all the products i use ^_^ Into music used with permission from Dizzy Balloon “i’m Just me” What I do in case a pimple rears it’s ugly head: If it’s a really gross looking one, (whitehead…….ew) I usually can’t resist. I can’t leave the house with a major eruption on my face. BUT if it’s not ugly yet, or simply not that bad, it’ll put tea tree oil on it at night, and that helps, and just try to cover it till it goes-buh-bye. Sometimes I’ll use the Clinique acne moisturizer as a spot treatment too! (it has a small amount of Benzoyl Perozide. ^_^) #94 – Most Discussed (Today) – Howto & Style #95 – Top Rated (Today) – Howto & Style #91 – Most Discussed (Today) – Howto & Style #94 – Top Rated (Today) – Howto & Style
Many of the moisturizers we buy in our quest for the best moisturizer can be quite pricey. They contain many chemicals with long scary names. I trust that the government would not let them put something in my moisturizer which would ouright harm me but I’m not so sure about some of those things. Anyway, they have many ingredients and we can spend quite a bit just to give our skin that soft supple, youthful feel.
